Beneath the silent gaze of the Two Suns, color ceases to be pigment. It becomes light. It becomes memory. It becomes prophecy.
We created The Oracle of Two Suns as an invitation into our universe where Blue and Pure Gold leaf meet beyond their visible beauty, within a realm of intuition, mystery, and revelation.
The fourteen works in the exhibition are fragments of this imagined universe. They are neither windows onto a particular place nor representations of a recognizable reality. Rather, they are traces of states of being, echoes of lived experience, and attempts to make visible what, at times, can only be felt.
We chose ultramarine Blue for its depth, for its apparent stillness and for the abyss it may conceal. Blue carries us towards the sky and the infinite, but also towards those inner territories where thought, memory, and emotion begin to lose their contours.
Within this blue space, Pure 24K Gold leaf emerges as a source of light that cannot be ignored. We apply it by hand allowing its physical luminosity to enter into dialogue with the absolute mattness of the chosen pigment.
For us, Gold is not merely a symbol of preciousness. It is light made matter. It is time, permanence, transformation. It is what remains when everything else changes.
Between Blue and Pure Gold leaf, the tension at the heart of this exhibition is born.
Two Suns. Two sources of light. Two presences. Two perspectives.
We do not see them as opposing forces, but as two worlds reflecting one another. Between them lies a space of possibility , that fragile, mysterious place where opposites may coexist, and where what seems impossible may become image.
This is where the oracle begins.
Not an oracle that offers answers, but one that opens questions.
In our works, we do not seek to tell the viewer what they should see. Instead, we offer a space in which they may encounter something that belongs to them. Sometimes, a memory. At other times, a desire. A fear, a promise, a light they did not know they were seeking.
We do not describe. We evoke.
We do not explain. We whisper.
We do not close the meaning. We let it breathe.
Each painted surface preserves something of the gesture through which it came into being. Layers, traces, transparencies, densities, and voids meet in an equilibrium that is never final.
And when light touches the Pure Gold leaf, the work changes with the viewer. There is no single image. There are countless moments of encounter.
The fourteen works: Lieless, Catalina, Columnae Mundi, Momentum, Prophecy, Drops of Happiness 4, Abyss, Heavenly Sprout, Opus, Thin Ground, The Seed of Light, Fleur du Ciel, Arcadia, and The Call – are, for us, fourteen thresholds.
Some speak of beginnings. Others of ascending, calling, hope, fragility, or rebirth. Some hold silence. Others conceal a tension revealed only when the gaze lingers long enough.
We did not want this exhibition simply to be seen.
We wanted it to be heard.
To allow the textures to resonate, the voids to breathe, the Blue to open inner spaces, and the Pure Gold to flicker like an ancient code, something born from a time we cannot identify, yet may somehow recognize.
For us, The Oracle of Two Suns is also about this recognition.
About the moment when something unknown becomes, for an instant, familiar.
About the light we seek outside ourselves and sometimes discover within.
About two sisters looking at the same world from two perspectives and, together, building an artistic universe in which differences do not divide, but complete one another.
The encounter between our art and the context of Transilvania Business – 15 Years | Romania 2030 created a singular space for this experience. At a moment devoted to the future, we chose to bring into dialogue another form of anticipation: the anticipation born of imagination, intuition, and sensitivity.
Because sometimes the future cannot be seen.
It is felt.
And perhaps this is the true role of an oracle: not to tell us what is to come, but to make us more attentive to what we have not yet seen.
Beneath the Two Suns, color becomes language.
Light becomes memory.
And art becomes a threshold.
A threshold towards what does not yet have a name.
