Following a special invitation from Dentons Romania, one of the world’s largest global law firms with a presence in Romania, we conceived, created, curated, and organized a pop-up exhibition of contemporary abstract art for Courage & Connection – a networking evening dedicated to courage, connection, femininity, and inspiration, held in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.
It was an evening in which networking and art came together in a space shaped around women – their inner strength, sensitivity, courage to dream, and power to create meaningful, authentic connections.
For this experience, we envisioned an artistic journey unfolding across two distinct color registers. Violet, the color associated with the Dentons visual identity, became the color of welcome. We transformed the entrance area leading into the networking room into an artistic patio – a transitional space that introduced guests to the universe of the exhibition and prepared them for their encounter with the artworks in the main event space. Beyond this first visual threshold, ten abstract works signed by us, painted in shades of red with 24K Pure Gold leaf, transformed the room into a Garden of Paradise – a symbolic universe of femininity, creative energy, and light. Red brought energy, vitality, passion, and strength into this universe, while Pure Gold captured the light and transformed it into a living element of the composition. In dialogue with abstracted symbols, Pure Gold leaf introduced a precious and contemplative dimension, where matter, light, and color came together.
We curated and arranged the ten works so that they would not be perceived as independent objects, but as parts of a single visual and spatial experience. Together, they created a sequence of forms, rhythms, and reflections, transforming the main room and offering guests a unique artistic experience. We did not seek to decorate the space, but to transform it through art. The artworks thus became an integral part of the evening itself: points of encounter, conversation, and reflection, within a setting where women had gathered to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate the remarkable women around them.
The theme of Courage & Connection thus found its own visual expression in the contrast between violet and red, between the matte surface of tempera and the glowing radiance of Pure Gold leaf, between the physical space of the event and the symbolic universe of the Garden of Paradise.
For us, Purple Dreams was more than a pop-up contemporary art exhibition. It was a project in which artistic creation, spatial conception, curation, and exhibition organization came together in an experience conceived especially for an evening devoted to connection, courage, femininity, and inspiration. From the violet of the entrance patio to the Garden of Paradise formed by ten abstract works and the glow of gold, art became part of the story of a truly memorable evening.
The effect: an experience in which abstract art, the luminescence of Pure Gold leaf, and the energy of femininity created a space for inspiration and authentic connection.
