Let’s Color the Season in Gold!
An everyday co-working morning. Fresh coffee in small or large cups, new colleagues, conversations between meetings. And, for one day, an ultra-contemporary abstract art gallery right in the workplace space.
In collaboration with International Workplace Group – Spaces. Campus 6, Spaces. Unirii View and Spaces. Expo, Cristina and Magda Staicut brought art closer to people, transforming each of the three locations into an ART Lounge – a place for encounters, colors and stories told through painting. Direct questions to the artists about how a painting comes to life, about the techniques and materials behind each composition, stories about colors and Pure Gold leaf, Yellow Gold and White Gold, and the opportunity to take a closer look at the texture of canvases and the delicacy of a work on paper.
Every painting carries and conveys a story. Sometimes, it is the artists’ story – an idea, an emotion, a symbol hidden within a shape or a hue. Other times, it is the story discovered by the viewer. What represents a memory, a question or a particular state of mind for the artists may become an entirely different experience for the person looking at the painting. Or perhaps, for a few moments, the two stories meet.
Between one coffee and the next meeting, conversations flowed naturally from colors to materials, from the artistic process to the joy of collecting, from how a painting is made to what makes us fall in love with it.
Three events, three workspaces, one invitation: to make room for art in everyday life. To look at it, understand it, talk about it and discover what it awakens in each of us. Because art does not have to wait for you to step into a gallery. Sometimes, the gallery comes to you – right at your own desk.
